Frequently Asked Questions
What if I can't make every session?
Life happens, and we understand that. All sessions are recorded and made available through your private portal, along with all program materials. You'll have access to everything you need, even if you miss a live session. You can watch recordings at your own pace and stay caught up with the group.
Is this program only for parents?
Not at all. This program is for ANY family member supporting a loved one with addiction. We've worked with parents, spouses, partners, siblings, adult children, and extended family members. If addiction has touched your family, this program is for you.
What if my loved one is still actively using?
This program is appropriate for families at any stage of the addiction journey—whether your loved one is in active use, considering treatment, currently in treatment, in early recovery, or has relapsed. The program is about YOUR healing and understanding, regardless of where your loved one is in their journey. Many families find that their own changes positively influence their loved one's willingness to seek help.
Does my loved one need to participate in the program?
No. This program is FOR families, not for the person struggling with addiction. Your loved one does not need to attend, participate, or even know you're in the program. This is about YOUR growth, YOUR healing, and YOUR ability to support your family in healthier ways—regardless of your loved one's choices.
What materials do I need?
Everything is provided! You'll receive comprehensive workbooks, personal reflection journals, and educational guides—all accessible through your private portal. Just bring yourself, an open mind, and a willingness to engage with the material and the group.
Can I join from outside Massachusetts?
Absolutely! Since all sessions are conducted via Zoom, families from anywhere in the United States (or beyond) can participate. We've worked with families across the country who benefit from the same expert guidance and supportive community.
How is payment handled?
Once you register through our contact form, you'll receive enrollment information including payment options. We accept payment in full or through a payment plan. Specific payment terms and policies are provided upon registration.
What makes this program different from Al-Anon or other support groups?
While support groups like Al-Anon provide valuable peer support, this program offers structured education, expert facilitation, and comprehensive curriculum specifically designed for families facing addiction. You'll learn evidence-based strategies, work through guided exercises, and receive materials you can reference long after the program ends. Think of it as the educational foundation that complements ongoing support groups.
